Career Ready PA Coalition

Pennsylvania’s future depends on having a well-educated and skilled workforce prepared to meet the current and projected demands of a global, knowledge-based 21st century economy.

To address that need, the Pennsylvania Department of Education has developed the Career Ready PA Coalition. Each region is supported by a Career Ready PA liaison point of contact for training, resources, and stakeholder connections. (See map and information below to learn more.)

The Career Ready PA training team is led by the Allegheny Intermediate Unit. Career Ready PA provides educators with access to professional development training opportunities that deliver the methodologies, best practices, and resources needed to prepare students for postsecondary success. Stakeholders include K-12 Educators, Community/Nonprofit, Employers, Military, Postsecondary, State Agencies & Libraries, STEM, and Workforce. The Career & Work-Based Learning page provides career and work-based learning opportunities in each of the 10 Career Ready PA regions. See map below to view your regional liaison's contact information.

Career Ready PA is led by Laura Fridirici, Career Readiness Advisor, Pennsylvania Department of Education c-lfidiri@pa.gov and co-lead Amy Davis McShane amy.mcshane@aiu3.net.
